We at the Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust (KVET) are happy that we have started a Higher Secondary School. The fact that we started with Colleges and then thought of a school is a pointer to our realization of the complexity of the task of educating young children. It requires a whole new mindset to initiate children to the process of learning.

They come to us with an open mind, the joys and fears of innocence. They carry the hopes of their parents. So it is vital that the Management should be sensitive, sensible, accommodative and resilient.

This realization is reflected in our Vision and Mission statements. We seek to impart learning, perfect learning with pleasure. Thus we embody and go beyond Valluvar's diktat:

Our objective is to kindle in young minds a love for learning, a basic respect for the teacher and impart skills that would promote habits of self culture. We believe in holistic man-making education and so offer opportunities for the development of the body, mind and spirit. We seek to instil in children good social habits and the spirit of tolerance, good will and cooperation. We hope the enlightened public would be with us in our endeavour.

KVS is the youngest among the Institutions within the fold of the Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust. We owe it to the love and goodwill of the enlightened public, the members of the Parent Teacher Associations of J.J. Institutions and some of our beloved alumni who suggested the starting of a school. Now children can proceed from LKG to Ph.D. in our Sivapuram Campus.

The School has registered remarkable growth within 5 years. Children are the assets of the nation, not just the darlings of their parents. Our approach to education is based on an awareness of both these factors. We try to tap the innate creative energy in children through songs, music, dance, oratory, drawing and painting, modeling, etc. As a result, every child gets his / her niche at KVS.

The staff take positive interest in every child and identify the special talents of each. Children learn good habits from the group and through imitation and role play.

In the Higher Standards, we encourage self learning under expert motivation and monitoring. In a sense, Learning is acquired, not imparted. Students get enough attention and their learning habits are nurtured through practice and tested through assignments, test papers and group work. There are also opportunities for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Our students have won laurels in Inter Zonal, State level and National level competitions.

KVS is the latest addition to the list of J.J. Institutions run by the KVET. We believe in providing the best infrastructure. School is now housed in a well-ventilated three-story building built according to the best standards of convenience and safety.

The Library and the Laboratories, the multimedia and activity rooms are commodious and well equipped. There are also facilities for skating, football, badminton, Cricket and Karate. There are also provisions for other track and field events and Yoga.

It is our endeavour to make campus life constructive and enjoyable through intimate interaction and meaningful cooperation. We attend to not merely scholastics but to discipline and character building. Our staff are crusaders for quality. There is a synergetic relationship among them and between them and the management. The parents too contribute valuable suggestions for making school life a happy experience for all.

KVS is now in its 5th year. It has sent up two batches for the Tenth Standard Public Examination with 100% First Class. It is going to present its First Batch of Higher Secondary students for the Board Examinations this year.

Our students have brought up laurels in many sporting events and in competitions like Drawing and Painting, Quiz, elocution, etc. Our achievements are a reflection of the earnestness and service-mindedness of our staff and the magnanimity of the management in providing the best infrastructure.
